Forest School

The Forest School ethos believes that children have the right to play in and have access to the outdoors (in particular woodlands) plus the right to access risk and enjoy the natural world while experiencing a healthy range of emotions through challenges to build up resilience with others.

Forest School at St Augustine’s is led by Mrs Grange, a Level 3 Advanced Forest School Leader in 2017,and Mrs Steel (Lead Midday Supervisor and Eco Assistant).

The school Paddock will continue to be used for exploring, having fun and building on the outdoor skills that pupils have already developed. Sessions go ahead in all weathers so that the children can experience the natural world in all of the UK’s seasons!
